Sounds like a series concept. Inherently you should know “worst” is subjective In nature therefore your expectation will 100% be this isn’t a subjective situation with universal agreement on how we define a tragedy, so to imply something is click bait when off the rip your assumption should intellectually be that this is subjective is inappropriate. You can argue how this series doesn’t include the worst but for some these are the worst. Another example: is American Airlines flight 11 the worst US aircraft incident? I would say so. This is despite the same carrier having an accident twice as deadly just two months apart both in New York. There are gradations of course to this distinction but the point remains if to see the word “worst” and assume you’re going to get an objective answer, the problem is with your expectations . If you can’t see that, then you will always have this issue with content and it will make it hard to enjoy things. If there’s no reason given justifying why something is “the worst” you feel, then argue that point. But on its face that’s not true that your standard of “worst” must apply or clickbait. To illustrate this, consider secret base’s “the worst” series. Is Donald sterling “the worst” owner? No. Dan Snyder is but it’s not click bait. The entire series is like that. And sometimes I openly disagree as they never say WHY it’s the worst. But I never feel click baited or my time was wasted. Just they didn’t achieve their goal of showing me that story. You can drill down and double click on how the statement is qualified accordingly to get that expectation though. Here in this video words like “avoidable” are used. That should change immediately your framework on death count as you seem to be focused on which I dint think is always the most proper benchmark for understanding tragedy . If this wasn’t a series then you’d have a point. But bc this could be “episode 1”, the word “worst” can be fairly described as different things. Eg the worst day in motorsports one could say is Le Mans 1955 with 77 dead people in one accident. I wouldn’t say that. Bc that’s a tragic accident. Accidents happen. They are unfortunate but “worst” to me are tragedies that are avoidable by reasonable, well intentioned actions. So 2008 Singapore conspiracy is the darkest for me given the implication of proof that drivers under pressure have now been proven to be manipulated by teams to slter races and risk lives. Which is exploitative, potentially systematic, and without checks or effective detection methods. How many more times has this happened and we miss it? Just proving a point to consider the alternative.
