  1. That last story made me think of the documentary short on Netflix I believe in the “home game” series if I’m not mistaken about Imam. I first stumbled on his story after I was fishing in the Philippines and someone joked it’s a lot easier to dive for the fish. Long story short I found out of the Bajau ppl have essentially adapted with observed spleens 50% or so larger to facilitate solely the contraction of the organ at depth. Had to take hundreds of years to adapt with that trait. Anyways there’s a local hunter who decides to use his abilities to free dive competitively with people who trained their entire lives. Super fascinating seeing how he does and just how natural things are for him.
