  1. My only wish In These stories when told is it’s made painfully and abundantly clear the water situation. Especially when cannibalism is involved. Obviously modern science has thoroughly proven generally there’s no scenario cannibalism is required to survive. Infected, lethargic, age, sex, etc all mitigating factors but it’s almost never actually needed given you’ll succumb to dehydration FAR before. And they were adrift beyond a fortnight so they obviously had some type of source - was this just wine? And it would be unreasonable to ask you to explore the effects of a dying, depleted body depending on alcohol alone. I would imagine some of their reactions might be more logically to some degree. I just don’t understand how so many people could have so little wine for multiple weeks and live. Yes rations and all but having looked through it I never got a strong sense myself of the actual amount people got rather than the calculated ration/ person. I did read a couple accounts from those who essentially reported eating nothing which certainly is possible. Maybe a bit of a tangent but it reminds me of one of my favorite secrets of survival content that basically flips “Alone” on its head - which is what made me think of this given the show’s previous season winner was the first in shows history to properly and successfully go into ketosis fasting the entire final 1/3 which was a couple weeks. But this other show has 3 military guys from different branches and countries and one naturalist go to notoriously difficult environments and drop one of them in the middle with absolutely zero assistance: the catch is they have 100 hours before rescue or they lose. They’ve discussed some of this to contrast their own scenario and it just made me think of it plus i try to tell ppl about it whenever I get a chance haha idk just waffling but im sure you’d enjoy it! Called “Dude, you’re screwed”. Shit title I know. Amazon prime I believe. And it’s been confirmed without question the sequences re: survival in every scenario are real. The tv magic moments are there to heighten the experience from a viewer standpoint but the stakes risks and dangers are all genuine. Anyway, cheers man! Ps, a different take on a scary interesting survival story this time is that of Elizabeth shoaf. An absolute bad ass. Maybe in a group of 3 stories of kidnapped survivals highlighting 3 different ways for escape. Elizabeth wasn’t gonna be helped by police - classic “teen runaway” delays . But this time it didn’t doom her and she outsmarted the creep who kidnapped her.
