@deltahavoc1224 been a partner for years. There’s no shade. That’s what creators say when they are chasing views and don’t have a brand ID to be confident in. So that make more shorts bc they can’t keep views up, or make more illustrative covers bc ppl click less. It’s not the algorithm. The algorithm is , and always will be, feed by watch time. I’ve not only worked on this side of Google, but also the client side at the worlds largest cpg running digital strategy for a category. It’s not the algorithm. It’s not shaft dealings. Channels get gimmicky when they run out of ideas. Or need to lie to their audience to justify something they wanna try. Eg when creators censor curses words or gore. You can show it. You just may get age restricted . Which isn’t a problem unless you have an audience of teenagers or younger crowds or depend on YouTube recommendation feature which accounts for 80+% of all all your views .ironically views don’t come from your subscribed audiences as much as people think.
