  2.  @iron_dude_j0427  I hear you - but that’s the issue. By design a fan of the series is inherently going to view it more favorably and in better light assigning mostly good “intent”. As defined by what exactly? What specific metrics so we can evenly assess other attempts? It’s impossible to define and thus impossible to execute. I’ve listened to CD go on about why it should be avoided in another critique which I agreed with. But he is a fan of this series which makes sense. I was indifferent on the original and saw this as lazy, borderline hacky with respect specifically to fan service. But I respect the fans that see it another way. I can’t fully appreciate some moments I suppose. But therein lies my point.
