  1. We’ve already seen Bud vs a slightly heavier brawler. I actually think Bud if he was younger is athletic enough to responsibly put the weight on and properly challenge Canelo. But not like this . Not right now. Not at that weight. Bud gets hit and his style is so incredibly bc it welcome contact but should he has that one obligatory brawling moment like he did vs Kavaliauskas he won’t just be on skates, he’ll be asleep. Both generational fighters. But same reason I don’t wanna see Naoya vs Tank. They get hit too much. Nery has thunder in both hands that’s for sure imagine Tank’s damage. Not to mention Canelo’s chin being uncrackable as it gets - Bud would have to wear him out just to maybe hurt him late. And that’s a maybe . Something GGG couldn’t do albeit past his prime but still a similar age as Bud. A Canelo win does little for him anyway there’s no way this happens and while I think it foolish for Bud to go to 168 I sure as hell would respect the decision and buy the fight
