  4. The VW 2 liter power-plant is actually a fascinatingly adaptable engine. It can take boost numbers that make K tuners go pale in the face, stock. Forged rods, pistons and crank, and with valve timing options, it’s quite ingenious. Billeted models with forced induction can have insane redlines. Like… there’s a video on yt, it may have been pulled, of this thing, as a billet, putting 1100WHP down. That passat brought down a SMOKE show.

  6. I saw a billet put more than 1000 to the wheels. The VW 2.0 is actually a really impressive power-plant that should get far, far more love. It’s supremely picky about fuel and oil, as well the usual ‘german’ proclivities; however, my God will she breathe… (Yes the billet was the EA113, and yes it’s redline was over 10k. Wish I could find the video, it’s pants-fillingly insane)
