  1. Bernie is a true idealist. This is why he will again be ruthlessly manipulated for the benefit others. He simply does not comprehend the mendacity of this species. The Modern Monetary Theory he supports will simply devalue the dollar even further, empowering those who control commodities markets and incentivizing those with money to convert their dollars to specie as quickly as possible, thus contributing to a massive outflow of wealth from the economy. Go ahead, raise the minimum wage to 15.. or 20... or 100 dollars per hour... it simply drives inflation higher and devalues the dollar. You thought 2.2% inflation sucked... wait until you see what happens when the minimum wage goes to 15/hour and have you 2.2% inflation. A gallon of gasoline is going to cost 6 dollars or more. A gallon of milk is going to cost close to the same. A dozen eggs will similarly have a meteoric rise... and so the spiral begins. Do what you want America... people like me will always survive... just don't expect me to engage in this abject folley. If you cheat us we will cheat you... and we will win.
