  1. Flunked out, but still the best decision I've ever made. Showed me what a clown show I was and helped me straighten myself out in the long term. I'll always regret not being fit for service, but with mature eyes, it's easy to see why I failed. I had no idea what I wanted and essentially no guidance. I went to be born again hard, and learned that wasn't the issue... I was already incredibly hard: alcoholic by age 14, homeless by age 16, enlisted at 21. Never went a day in my life without some kind of beating until I was about 24. Navy brief, but included. Honor, Courage, Commitment.
