@Pickle_Riiiick When people hear someone 'succumbed to their wounds' it almost always means they died of their injuries. This is the first time I've heard someone say it and NOT mean that and if that's the case why not simply say 'he fired off a round before collapsing from his wounds, BUT he was taken to hospital and HE DID SURVIVE'. Done. There would be no confusion if the guy simply said something along those lines.

Where's the curvature or cleavage? Regardless of what meaning people think 'succumb' means, when used to together with injuries as in 'succumbing to their INJURIES' it almost always means a person has died of their injuries.

@TraceguyRune At 0:52 the news anchor says he manages to shoot a round off before 'succumbing TO HIS WOUNDS'. Even if people disagree on what succumbing can mean, when people hear 'succumbing to wounds' it almost always means dying from their wounds. This might be the first time I heard a news anchor talking about someone succumbing to their wounds and not mean that they were injured and eventually died from those injuries.

@tammifizzle Almost nobody uses 'succumbed to their injuries' in that manner. That's why every single time when there's a police news conference, when they say a person had been shot/stabbed/beaten etc. and eventually 'succumbed to their injuries' they almost always mean they died of their injuries.

@dgrogan8423 What do Seattle and cities like Atlanta have in common? Too much violent, ghetto diversity running around wild and free to do as they wish with relative little to no consequences until they do something really serious.
