  1. At least you're building something that will be put to good use and will benefit the nation for the long term. In Toronto, Canada, our government has spent 9 BILLION USD on a 19km, 25 stop LRT line that HAS NOT OPENED AFTER 13 YEARS AND COUNTING OF CONSTRUCTION. If we're lucky it might open in 2025 although there's still no fixed opening date because the construction company is still working out tons of various problems that are holding up opening of the line.

  2. Canada being a former colony is following in UK's footsteps. Almost nothing ever gets built here on time and/or on budget.

  3. Toronto, Canada is spending 9 BILLION USD on a dinky little 19km, 25 stop LRT transit line that still hasn't opened after 13 YEARS of construction so this nuclear powerplant looks like great value in comparison.

  4. Better to use a proven design from a foreign company than to try and develop your own which would cost even more time and money and might not even turn out to be as good.
