It wasn't logistics that was the problem. It was the Afghans themselves many of whom were sympathetic to the Taliban and many more who didn't want to fight for their country unlike the Ukrainians are willing to fight for theirs. There's no doubt that if they showed some fight that the outside world would still be sending them support to fight the Taliban. They showed none not even wanting to defend their own families and land so they deserve what they get for their lack of fight. Ukraine on the otherhand is worth helping when they're actually willing to fight for their own country against a much larger and stronger opponent.

Europeans have been stealing and plundering China for centuries as well and yet here they are today where they've still built themselves up to be a huge economic power. Maybe its because the Chinese learned from the Europeans and instead of forever complaining about them, they themselves put that new found knowledge to good use. All the other people who complain about northerner's taking from them are also the same ones who never learn from those who are more advanced than them and they never maintain all the systems and infrastructure that was built in their countries. Instead they plunder and destroy what was handed to them which is why they're still as poor now as they were decades ago. Just look at South Africa as a prime example. Always teetering on the edge of chaos and destruction and if the entire white population packed up and left, South Africa would immediately turn into the next big giant craphole like every other predominately black nation.

You make it sound like Africans were all nice, peaceful people before the evil white man came and corrupted them and turned them into animals. Personal accountability still continues to mean nothing to Africans I guess.

@mac7040 I know many successful black people and they are the ones who focus on themselves in the present and have personal responsibility. Unfortunately successful black people are still in the vast minority relative to their large populations. It really is astounding how such a large number of their people cannot be raised properly by their parents to grow up to be decent, educated, hardworking people like most other groups of people can and no matter how hard western governments try, this rarely changes in any significant way. Yet despite this many western politicians still stupidly believe that they can be changed and insist on continuing to import countless thousands of them into western countries whether the native population wants them or not.

Well humans are animals after all and as we see everywhere on earth all kinds of life forms fight each other over resources, land, who is the most dominate etc. so why should we be surprised that humans do it as well?

It is not difficult to understand why the western governments, who are themselves pioneers of imperialism, colonization, ethnic cleansing and apartheid rush to support a similar regime. That is because they share similar ‘values’. Lets be real. If Africans, Arabs and others who are supposedly oppressed and taken advantage of by colonial powers instead themselves had power to do the same, most would do so in a heartbeat. Don't kid yourself and think these people are so peaceful and are all compassionate human beings that if they had the same kind of military strength as western countries did throughout the centuries that they wouldn't be conquering other nations and their people around the world. Heck you see them trying to do it even now when they DO NOT have the strength to defeat the west and their military. Look at the kind of damage they can do even with inferior forces and then ask yourself if much of the world wouldn't be screwed if Arabs and Africans had the kind of modern military that NATO had to go along with their often violent and fanatical tendencies.

We all know what would happen. Just look at the countless small examples of what would happen when you have even moderately significant amounts of Africans living in a modern western city and see how much crime, violence and general chaos they cause. Its just a sad fact that most people don't want to publicly acknowledge which is there are certain demographics of people in this world that seem completely incapable of living in peace with themselves and anyone around them and are able to create success and prosper without tons of external help.

No reason that poor countries below the equator can't take the China route. Namely provide cheap labor to build western products and to learn from them while doing so and then eventually opening up their own factories to build some basic products of their own and then grow from there.
