  2. Russian philosophy is throwing masses of tanks against your enemy and overwhelming them with numbers with little care about losses. Western philosophy is to build a superior weapons system that can survive on the battlefield and protect its crew.

  3. As we've seen in Ukraine, Russian equipment is less technologically advanced and capable which why it might be abit more easier to service. An M1 Abrams might take more servicing to keep it running, but its a far better tank that can do much more on the battlefield while giving a much better chance for the crew to survive if it gets hit than any Russian tank.

  4. Can Russia really win by sheer numbers when it looks like they've lost a large portion of their tanks and other armored vehicles and haven't been able to replace those losses as yet? I mean look at their attacks these past few months that have been very artillery and infantry heavy. Would the Russians be doing that if they had enough armor to go around? Who knows maybe they still have a decent number of tanks and armored vehicles left, but they seem to be mostly older Cold War era stuff which makes it even easier for western tanks and ATGMs to kill. In fact these days I'd say western tanks being used in Ukraine would probably have to worry more about ATGMs, getting hit by arty, mines etc. than other tanks.

  6.  @YeahOkay_bg  What's the survival rate of tank crewmen in western tanks vs Russian tanks? I'd say the difference would be significantly lower in Russian tanks.
