It might look nice, but is it even safe to visit with all the crime and violence happening in Detroit? Maybe if Detroit can solve that, many more people would feel safe to visit.

@TheTroyc1982 Toronto has plenty of housing. The problem is Toronto also has far too many people coming in, investors buying multiple properties and people renting out condos and housing for Airbnb instead of for regular long term renters or for regular people to buy their first home. Also outside of Toronto, we keep building craploads of large homes in the suburbs instead of tall highrises than can house thousands of people. Until we stop doing this we'll never have enough housing, let alone affordable housing. But then why would developers want to do this and make less money?

@weenisw That's the worse thing about all these crappy condo buildings. All cheap, generic crap. Toronto had a once in a lifetime chance to build a truly great looking skyline with unique architecture and instead our idiot mayor, city council and planners allowed developers to build largely crap buildings of glass.

@ezioaugustus2621 If Detroit is such an awesome city then why is its population still strinking? I don't know about you, but 300+ murders among a population of 640,000 doesn't scream 'safe' to me. In Toronto and surrounding suburbs here, people are losing their minds when we have even 100+ murders among a population of 6+ MILLION.

@W Clark This is what happens when you have a stupid and corrupt mayor and city council that's been bought and is also so woke that they spend more time voting on wasting 6+ million in taxpayer money to change a street name that most people didn't want changed instead of properly running a city and building a nice place for people to live. I didn't think John Tory would be a bigger disaster than Rob Ford, but sadly Tory is so much worse.
