  1. Trump won because most GOP voters and undecideds liked him and they came out to vote for him. I don't think anyone had much energy or excitement for Harris and if the Dem leadership had taken the advice of holding a primary where other candidates could be considered and then voted on at the convention, they probably would've found this out before making her the nominee by default.

  2.  @petep.2092  A Dem primary would've allowed for at least a few candidates to be compared to Harris and if the Dem voters at the convention still thought Harris was the best person to go up against Trump they would've made it known with their votes. The Dem leadership didn't do that and instead moved quickly to make Harris their nominee so that she could become the first 'female of color president'.

  3. 'Democracy' in its current form in most countries is a JOKE to begin with. Its a bad system that needs a complete overhaul or even gotten rid of entirely.
