  1. I'm pretty sure a big reason why the US has a fairly high number of deaths is because many of its population isn't very healthy and hence are more likely to die if they get infected. Japan has 35+ million people that are over the age of 65 and yet the number of deaths in their nation is still under 1,000 so far. I think that has alot to do with the fact that Japanese people are generally pretty healthy and hence if they get infected, their chances of dying are low. You can't say the same for many people in the US.
