  1. I'd say if things don't change much before peace is negotiated in the future then Russia well have achieved a partial strategic victory. If they keep all the territory that they currently occupy right now, that would be a decent achievement for them. However they lost the chance to gain complete victory after the first couple of months of the war when their hopes of fast advances and a quick collapse of the Ukrainian armed forces didn't happen and then they were mostly stopped from taking advancing much further than they have now.

  2. How did Russia win when it completely failed in its objective of taking all of Ukraine and probably installing a Russian friendly government similar to what happened in Belarus? Ukraine will NEVER be a puppet of Russia ever again even if it doesn't regain all of its territory that it lost.
