@a24155-n The funny thing is the Russians are using many of the same weapons and tactics now that they used back when the Warsaw Pact still existed. I guess that's why they're getting the same results in Ukraine.

@a24155-n Those weapons were good in the era they were created in. They're average to horrible on the modern battlefield facing modern weapons. That's the reason why the Russians keep getting wrecked and are taking heavy casualties these days in Ukraine.

@a24155-n Ukraine isn't considered a military 'superpower' or even a strong military power. Russia says that it is. Being a superpower we expect Russia to be strong, modern and to do well on the battlefield. We don't expect that from Ukraine because as you said they have lots of Soviet/Russian weapons and they can't afford to modernize and improve all their military because of their small defense budget. So the Ukrainians have no choice but to fight with what they have even if its with outdated weapons. Beggars can't be choosers as they say.
