@lizhall2961 Woke can often mean finding injustices where there isn't any in order to create needless controversy and discourse.

@MsElke11 Pierre isn't much better either, but he's better than Trudeau BY FAR. Given the choices I'd vote Bernier because he's the only one who's even DARED to talk about the immigration issue.

@Jay-hr3rh Where is Sweden interfering in other nations' affairs and yet the same couple of demographics of people who are causing trouble in France and other western nations are causing trouble in their nation anyways. Why not just acknowledge that certain demographics of people from certain regions of the world aren't very nice, aren't very peaceful and are often very violent, troublesome and disruptive to any society that takes in large numbers of them?

Well considering that elderly lady has dementia I really doubt that she was 'hamming it up for the camera'. On the otherhand I didn't see any real abuse from the careworkers who looked to be doing their job trying to take care of her.

@rachybaby72 Justin became PM not only because of his last name, but also because many were tired of Stephen Harper and his government including myself and Trudeau came in young and fresh and likeable to many people. If I had known back then what I know now about what Trudeau would do to Canada, I would NEVER have voted for him back then. I have voted for the Liberals in the majority of elections, but since Trudeau took over I will NEVER EVER vote for that party federally again.

Not every country in Europe is screwed, but Canada most definitely is going down the toilet unless Trudeau is gotten rid of and Poilievre can do a miracle turnaround and unfortunately I'm not very hopeful of that.

Lets just hope the Ukrainians don't take many casualties in this operation and perhaps that it will accomplish something on the strategic level.

@Hathur There are numerous women serving as recon / snipers and while not typically directly in combat, have been killing Russian soldiers from long range sniping positions in supportive combat roles. This though marks a significant change as they will be allowing women directly to fight on the front. I've watched a ton of combat videos and have read numerous stories about the war and have only ever saw a few women being close to the frontlines as snipers. I don't think women are capable of fighting in direct combat and if Ukrainians do send female troops to the front then it means things are going very, VERY poorly for them.
7
Well they're definitely not shooting as much artillery as they use to, but that doesn't mean they're running out of ammo. However they are running relatively low on vehicles which is why they're attacking with increasingly fewer armored vehicles and taking many more casualties.
6
@DarkCriimes Russians have increased production, but they're very far from replacing all the losses they're taking in Ukraine otherwise they wouldn't keep sending older and older vehicles to the battlefield.
6
There absolutely is more than 31k Ukrainian troops killed unfortunately. The journalist who was interviewed later said that many troops were listed as 'missing' and sadly this will mean many more will be KIA from this missing number.

@henrygreenwood3927 As a fellow Canadian. I can see that escalating problem will be. Everyone who feels this way will vote for Pierre whom is leading in the polls. Just to vote for Trudeau to be out. Then we will have to listen to pierre say, "I have to cut taxes and services. The liberals put us in so much debt." Our electoral system doesn't allow for major changes. Your choice is either the Liberals or the PC party. Every other party is mostly irrelevant. The NDP have been around forever and have never been able to establish themselves as a major player that can stand equally with the Libs and PC. Any other party can't ever grow or gain any influence because of how our system works. Also Trudeau won in large part because many people were tired of Harper and now Pierre could win because many people are tired of Trudeau. Personally I can't see how Pierre could be any worse than Justin currently is now.

I'd say most Canadians are both polite and docile and unfortunately this is seen as weakness which the very angry, vocal minority constantly take advantage of. Our politicians don't listen to the concerns of the quiet majority, they listen to the complaints of the loudest, most angriest people out there who frequently work against Canada's best interests.

While its interesting to see Ukrainian women join the infantry and train to fight for their country, if they actually have to be used on the frontlines then this means that Ukraine is taking very heavy casualties to the point that they're forced to push female soldiers to the front and obviously that wouldn't be a good thing.
4
Lets be real. If these female soldiers were sent to the frontlines, they would get slaughtered and that's why they'll never get sent to the front because things would have to be going very badly for the Ukrainians to be desperate enough to do something like that.
3
There's still millions of Ukrainian men available to fight, just that they've probably run out of men who want to volunteer to join the army now.

Whether Wimbledon is poorly organized or not, its still my favor tennis grandslam to watch. Aussie Open 2nd, US 3rd and French 4th. I find British crowds to be the most fair and generally most polite and they often cheer the most loudly.
2
We need to hire more female cops to stand around and do nothing while their partners are getting attacked. I mean WHO CARES about hiring the most qualified people who can actually do the job and deal with criminals when things get violent? 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
2
@stgraham111 Kurdish women were NEVER anywhere close to the enemy. Almost everytime we saw them 'fighting' they were shooting at the enemy from long distance. That's nothing like the close quarter combat that we've seen in this war from trench fighting to house to house fighting in the cities.
2
All those people who continually whine about the Chinese government oppressing and abusing Uyghurs, somehow they always leave out the Uyghur terrorists and the damage they've done which was the reason why the Chinese needed to take hard measures against them to keep the terror problem from spreading like it has in so many western nations.
2
Because these female soldiers won't be going to the frontlines. At most they'll take over behind the line duties for men so that they can be used for the frontlines.
2
The journalist being interviewed said that many Ukrainian soldiers are currently listed as 'missing' and that its likely many from this number will eventually be confirmed as KIA.

@railfandepotproductions I would 100% give Pierre a shot and see what he will do than give Trudeau another term and know that he'll for sure screw up the country even more than he already has. Trudeau needs to be sent to the gallows for betraying the Canadian people's trust in him where he's done ANYTHING BUT look out for the best interest of Canadians and our country.

@weecious What makes a drone operator a "pos" ?? They're protecting their country, family, friends. There are definitely many drone operators who are much less merciful and much more blood thirsty who will try and kill everyone that they see, even those that are clearly wounded and cannot fight anymore.

I don't think any women will be used as actual frontline combat troops because if they have to be used that way then it means Ukrainian forces have taken heavy casualties and are desperate for manpower to replace their troop losses. At best I can see some of these female soldiers taking over some duties behind the lines so that those male soldiers can be freed up to go to the front.
1
There's still plenty of Ukrainian men of fighting age in the country, but the issue is probably they've run out of men who want to volunteer for duty compared to the beginning of the war. Also there's no way any women will be sent to the frontlines otherwise that would mean things are going horribly bad for the Ukrainians.
1
@Mark-Book Deport Antifa to Gaza so they can fight their enemies on the frontlines.
1
When all your opponents are either dead or suppressed its pretty easy to win an election.
1
I don't think I ever saw females serving in frontline infantry units ever. The closest I think I've seen is some being snipers or medics who are sometimes seen on the frontlines patching soldiers up. That's about it. Never saw any Ukrainian women let alone units of them fighting on the frontlines.
1
The journalist being interviewed said that many Ukrainian troops are currently listed as 'missing' who likely will eventually be confirmed as KIA unfortunately.
1
@GeekFurious Women aren't used as frontline troops for good reason because they would get slaughtered by the enemy and also no matter what anyone says, no one really wants to start seeing female soldier bodies showing up in videos. That would be horrible for the propaganda campaign that both sides are waging and it would be bad in real terms that Ukraine are desperate enough to employ female troops on the frontlines.
1
@Dave-gy5mv Not really. Pre-war they wanted more autonomy while still remaining apart of Ukraine. Not many people in the Donbas actually wanted to split away from Ukraine completely let alone want to become apart of Russia.
1
@killax27 Lets be real. I don't think any of these women will be seeing the frontlines ever because if they are pushed to the front it will mean that the Ukrainian forces are in a world of hurt and have taken huge losses that cannot be easily replaced with more male soldiers. At most these women will be used to take over some of the duties currently occupied by men behind the lines so that they can be freed up to be sent to the front. I can't imagine how bad the optics would be if we start seeing women manning trenches at the frontlines.
1
@xax8918 No way female troops will be sent to the frontlines because they'll get slaughtered and it won't be a good look to be seen as being so desperate that the Ukrainians are turning to sending female troops to the front.
1
@LutherusPXCs Sure that's partly the reason, but the fact is Russia is burning through its Cold War era stock of armored vehicles and they can't keep the rate of loss going on forever. Its why their attacks these days are so costly and are moving forward so slowly. Even if they could achieve a breakthrough in the Ukrainian lines, it seems unlikely that they'd be able to exploit it in any large way. If the west weren't such pansies they'd be sending the Ukrainians a ton more supplies and weapons and stop the Russians for good from moving forward and even push them back.
1
Interesting to see the woman that guy was with stay while he was removed. 😂🤣😅🤣😂🤣
1
No different that what the Russians are currently doing which is why hundreds of thousands of Russian men are leaving the country if they haven't already.
1
It would be fair, but it would be pointless because they would get destroyed if they were ever placed in frontline infantry units and were expected to fight in the trenches and streets like the men do.
