@Hathur There are numerous women serving as recon / snipers and while not typically directly in combat, have been killing Russian soldiers from long range sniping positions in supportive combat roles. This though marks a significant change as they will be allowing women directly to fight on the front. I've watched a ton of combat videos and have read numerous stories about the war and have only ever saw a few women being close to the frontlines as snipers. I don't think women are capable of fighting in direct combat and if Ukrainians do send female troops to the front then it means things are going very, VERY poorly for them.

While its interesting to see Ukrainian women join the infantry and train to fight for their country, if they actually have to be used on the frontlines then this means that Ukraine is taking very heavy casualties to the point that they're forced to push female soldiers to the front and obviously that wouldn't be a good thing.

Lets be real. If these female soldiers were sent to the frontlines, they would get slaughtered and that's why they'll never get sent to the front because things would have to be going very badly for the Ukrainians to be desperate enough to do something like that.

There's still millions of Ukrainian men available to fight, just that they've probably run out of men who want to volunteer to join the army now.

@stgraham111 Kurdish women were NEVER anywhere close to the enemy. Almost everytime we saw them 'fighting' they were shooting at the enemy from long distance. That's nothing like the close quarter combat that we've seen in this war from trench fighting to house to house fighting in the cities.

Because these female soldiers won't be going to the frontlines. At most they'll take over behind the line duties for men so that they can be used for the frontlines.

I don't think any women will be used as actual frontline combat troops because if they have to be used that way then it means Ukrainian forces have taken heavy casualties and are desperate for manpower to replace their troop losses. At best I can see some of these female soldiers taking over some duties behind the lines so that those male soldiers can be freed up to go to the front.

There's still plenty of Ukrainian men of fighting age in the country, but the issue is probably they've run out of men who want to volunteer for duty compared to the beginning of the war. Also there's no way any women will be sent to the frontlines otherwise that would mean things are going horribly bad for the Ukrainians.

@GeekFurious Women aren't used as frontline troops for good reason because they would get slaughtered by the enemy and also no matter what anyone says, no one really wants to start seeing female soldier bodies showing up in videos. That would be horrible for the propaganda campaign that both sides are waging and it would be bad in real terms that Ukraine are desperate enough to employ female troops on the frontlines.

@killax27 Lets be real. I don't think any of these women will be seeing the frontlines ever because if they are pushed to the front it will mean that the Ukrainian forces are in a world of hurt and have taken huge losses that cannot be easily replaced with more male soldiers. At most these women will be used to take over some of the duties currently occupied by men behind the lines so that they can be freed up to be sent to the front. I can't imagine how bad the optics would be if we start seeing women manning trenches at the frontlines.

@xax8918 No way female troops will be sent to the frontlines because they'll get slaughtered and it won't be a good look to be seen as being so desperate that the Ukrainians are turning to sending female troops to the front.

No different that what the Russians are currently doing which is why hundreds of thousands of Russian men are leaving the country if they haven't already.
