@TheRabbitHole-pf9sq Except unlike the Soviet Union China will be able to compete with the west economically and technologically instead of always being a few steps behind. While China right now might not be at the level of the west or a few Asian nations in cutting edge technology, they've travelled very far in the past couple of decades to be not very far behind at all. The Soviet Union even at its absolute height has never been this close to competing with the west as China is now.

Can we also yell at cyclists to stop talking on their smartphones while they're going down a busy road with many fast travelling cars passing them so that they can PAY THE HELL ATTENTION TO THEIR SURROUNDINGS??

@moonmelons For most people who own SUVs unless they have a huge family, this will more than be enough room for their daily needs. On the very few occasions where you need it to haul something really big then either rent a large vehicle for those very rare occasions or else see if anyone you know has a large vehicle that can help you out.

@nou4605 To be fair even the US being perhaps the most advanced if not one of the most advanced countries on the planet has TONS of poor dilapidated parts of the country that they don't like to talk about. Just do a Google search and see how many towns and cities in the US are very poor, run down and often VERY violent and dangerous. Heck just the black population there alone is majority poor and violent and incapable of becoming more educated and civilized. At least in China they don't have to deal with a dead weight demographic such as that.

@MFTQ What people consider 'bigger things' in Europe probably means small to medium sized in North America. There's a reason why SUV sales in NA are so huge these days because people want the ability to haul large things and lots of stuff on their own which is something bikes can't do even with a trailer.
