  1. Ā @jimcroft3633Ā  Neither side has adjusted to the overhead reconinance. I see vehicles hidden from ground observation but stick out like a sore thumb from above not even blending in with the foliage. I don't think you can hide from modern recon aerial vehicles especially when it has thermals on it. Even if you had some material to cover up a vehicle from thermal and other cameras, you'd probably wouldn't have enough to outfit every vehicle in your army anyways. Then of course you'd need to find a way to cover up the troops which makes it even harder. Bottom line is that its pretty difficult to hide on the battlefield these days.

  2. Ā @hotstepper887Ā  Russia have offered peace terms many times. So called 'peace terms' at the barrel of a gun to your head is never a fair deal. Ukraine can keep on fighting, but it needs more support. Heck if it had even this level of western support that we see now with western systems in their army at the beginning of the war, this conflict would've likely been over a long time ago or at least Ukraine wouldn't have lost as much territory as it did that it now will have a very hard time getting it all back. Imagine how massive the amount of damage the UA forces could've done to the army that was marching on Kiev at the beginning of the war if they had HIMARs since the beginning. It would be the destruction of this recent convoy times 100 and it probably would've significantly altered the war when Russia would've lost so many men and so much equipment before they could pull it back.

  3. Ā @Warren_PeaceĀ  The only time that both sides would agree to a "status quote ante", which is what Ukraine wants, is if we are on a stalemate.... This SMO, however, is far from being one. It will likely be more or less a stalemate unless Ukrainians decide to stop fighting or the west stops supplying them. Why do you think Putin is hoping so hard that Trump gets elected and does what he says and end the war? Because if the US doubled down instead and sent more equipment and supplies to Ukraine, then this war would either not end or end with Russia achieving only partially what they wanted for huge losses that they won't recover from for many years if not decades.
