Ukrainians don't need NATO troops to beat Russia, they simply need NATO weapons, training and supplies to do it. If they received even a relative small amount of modern heavy equipment and aircraft from NATO countries, the Ukrainians would probably be able to kick the Russians out of most of their country. Also unless Russia is smart and decides to train and equip these new troops they're raising to be of decent quality then they're not going to be much more than cannon fodder that can take a bullet for you. Interesting how the more things change, the more they stay the same where the Russians had no problems with needlessly throwing away Russian lives in WWII and now they're doing the same in 2022. You'd think they would change and start caring about their people, but nope that doesn't seem like something that Russian leaders are capable of doing EVER.

Isn't that what supposedly happened in the Kharkiv offensive? That the Russians put in people who weren't all that capable of defending the front and when the Ukrainians pushed forward they got up and ran? Unless these new reservists are much better trained and equipped, how do the Russians know the same thing won't happen? Over time we know that the Ukrainians will have more NATO trained and equipped troops to fight with and I wonder if these new Russian troops can even receive close to the same amount of training that UA troops will have.

@danielruiz7522 Maybe if Putin didn't demand so much he might've gotten an agreement done, but once the Russian forces were exposed to be vastly interior compared to their prewar reputation the Ukrainians were smart to pull back from negotiations and choose to keep on fighting.

@adnammujagic57 Since when did the majority of all those Russians living in Ukraine call for Russia to invade Ukraine to free them? Only those in the Donbas region chose to take up arms in any significant way while the majority of Russians have yet to rise up in Ukraine.

@adnammujagic57 Russia was forced to enter the war because there was no other way to protect not only the Russians in Ukraine, but the entire Russian people and the state in general. This is complete BS. There are PLENTY of ways that could've solved this situation without Russia deciding to launch a massive invasion on Ukraine and to say otherwise is just plain making excuses for a failed Russian attack that has turned into a full scale war. Russia did it because it thought it saw an opportunity to retake all of Ukraine and the plan blew up in their faces. Even if it invaded it could've just occupied the whole Donbas/Luhansk regions and gone no further and it probably could've done so with relative few casualties and have gotten away with it without too much backlash and assistance from the west. Instead it believed that the Ukrainians wouldn't want to fight or put up a very good fight and that its army would fall quickly and its people would largely accept Russian rule over them. They were wrong and now they and everyone else is paying for it.

Well if what you say is true then we should be seeing major armored offensives coming soon from Russia in the coming weeks right? The Ukrainians should stand no chance because they have little to fight with anymore correct? Guess we'll see if that happens or not.

@haleemahussain8096 The fact that Putin has to continually threaten the west with nukes shows just how inferior the Russian forces are these days. No nation with a strong and well trained military would need to resort to that because those forces would be enough to make other nations afraid of them. Threatening to use nukes all the time is acknowledging your army can't compete and that you have to scare people with the ultimate weapon of mass destruction to have people still take you seriously. Take nukes out of the equation and the US alone without NATO could curb stomp the Russians in Ukraine easy.
