It seemed like she was more surprised by the kiss than being offended by it and then later on when the SJW crowd got a hold of this story she perhaps might've rethought her position on the kiss and became more negative on it.

@edwardfitzgerald3877 I am no SJW. He did not make a simple mistake. He abused his position of authority. Unless you believe he had it in his head before or during the medal ceremony that he was thinking 'I'm going to pick one of these girls and kiss her on the lips' then NO HE DID NOT 'abuse his position of his authority'. It looked spontaneous to me and again she didn't even look pissed or even remotely angry as she smiled and walked off after the kiss. Maybe its just me, but if something just happened that I didn't like or surprised me or I thought was weird my face and/or body language would show it. This player didn't miss a beat. She got the kiss and was still beaming as she walked away. That to me didn't seem like someone who was even remotely upset or shocked by what just happened. It seems to me that after the fact when this incident started blowing up in the media that she had a change of heart and THEN looked back and thought to herself that what happened wasn't so innocent and that it was actually a bigger deal than it really was. The dude brushed if all off like nothing happened. He doesn't even see what's wrong with his behaviour. A message needs to be sent. With great power comes great responsibility. Can't let it slide anymore that we should let slide a teacher kissing a student, a police officer kissing a suspect, a judge kissing a witness, a manager kissing a factory worker, etc. Lets be real. Almost everytime someone does something that gets the woke folk up in arms, no matter how sincere your apology is it will NEVER be enough. Unless you're someone they like and support in which case they'll defend you, if you're someone they don't care for then they'll try their best to take you down no matter what you do or say. Giving in to a tiny minority of SJWs in this world is the ABSOLUTE WORST THING our politicians, corporations, the media etc. has ever done. We should've kicked them to the curb and ignored them A LONG TIME AGO and the world would be so much better for it.

Leidolfr It was abit overboard, but one kiss shouldn't end up in him losing his job if he apologies and doesn't do it again. These days every single little misstep by someone is cause for the SJW crowd to try and ruin that person's life unless of course its someone they like and then they'll defend that behavior instead. If this is a pattern of behavior then that would be a different story, but if this a one time thing from him, then allow someone to make a mistake and move on with their lives.

Leidolfr You're defending and backing up the person who did the forcing, not the person being forced upon. The player that was kissed didn't seem to mind at all and didn't even miss a beat. You'd think that if she didn't like it or was offended by it that she would say something to him right then and there like 'Hey that was abit too much' or something along those lines? Maybe if the media and SJW crowd didn't pick up the story and blow it up then perhaps this would've been a nothing issue, but since they did then maybe the player changed her mind on the matter from not minding to being offended.

@edwardfitzgerald3877 Her opinion is irrelevant. Whether she consented, liked it, welcomed it, wanted a second round, does not matter. His behaviour is inappropriate because he is her boss. He should never put any employee in a situation where their boss kisses them on the mouth. Yes his behavior went abit overboard, but again it was ONE KISS. I don't get this blood lust and always getting the knives out from the SJWs over EVERY LITTLE THING who seem to want everyone to be perfect in every single situation. Except for themselves and the people they support of course. In those cases these hypocrites will let things slide and cover for those that they call their friends and allies because they NEVER EVER hold themselves to the same standards that they hold everyone else to. The guy made a mistake. We supposedly live in a tolerant society where people who make mistakes are given second chances in life. Let him apologise and move on and if he does something similar again, then show no mercy. Its always funny to me how these same kinds of SJWs are often the same people who would go nuts if the police and justice system harshly punished violent and criminal people when they commit crime and violence and yet they want blood from anyone who simply does or says anything that they remotely don't like.

Wow so she was against it and people here are still defending on the guy? Christ. Not saying that it wasn't abit overboard to kiss her on the lips, but at the same time right after she didn't seem offended at all or even pause to tell him 'Hey that was abit too much' and instead walked off smiling and continuing to celebrate her team's victory. Quite possible the SJW crowd started making a big deal about this story and then it influenced her to change her perception on the kiss from being maybe surprised by the kiss but not really offended to making it an issue of men abusing their power etc. He definitely should offer a heartfelt apology, but its abit dumb to say he should lose his job over this one minor incident. If its a pattern of behavior from him then that would be a different story.

@DannyMancheno Well he may have no choice but to go now, but not because what he did was so outrageously offensive or something. I think it just blew up into a big story and the SJW crowd is out for blood and now the rest of the women's soccer team have gotten onboard with it. Again its just weird to me that one kiss means you should get fired from your job even when the player involved didn't even react or miss a beat after the kiss as if to be shocked or offended by it.

Leidolfr So how many times can someone get away with forcing someone to do something, until it should be looked into and they face consequences? How about more than one time? If this dude had tried to kiss every Spanish player on the team and some or most looked uncomfortable and didn't want it, then that would be different. He kissed one player and that's it. Has he done this previously to others? If not then why destroy him over one tiny incident? Heck Joe Biden has been filmed doing creepy stuff with women and kids multiple times and no one cares and yet this guy kisses one adult woman on the lips and he should lose everything? She didn't even bat an eye right after it happened and was smiling and celebrating still. I think he should be allowed to sincerely apologise to the player and have a talk and work it out and then move on. The kiss was going overboard, but he should get a second chance. Heck VIOLENT CRIMINALS can get multiple chances to turn themselves around and even though they continually fail the justice system still releases them to try again and yet we have to destroy a man over a kiss? Cmon now.

@teague2582 What bad conditions for the Spanish Women's team are we talking about?

@edwardfitzgerald3877 Premeditation is not a requirement for abuse of power to occur. He abused his power because he assaulted one of his players thinking nothing would happen to him. He knew she wouldn't try to cause a scene in front of hundreds of cameras and thousands of people during an official televised ceremony. He knew his victim wouldn't protest immediately. Projection much? You made all these assumptions based on ONE KISS. THIS IS WHY SJWs types are out of control when they take every little incident and blow it out of proportion and then want blood to quench their thirst. Premeditation makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE and its why in the justice system you receive a far more harsher punishment if you pre-planned to murder someone rather than it happening without intent and in the moment. Again unless you really believe he had it in his mind beforehand to kiss a player, then this was simply an incident where someone did something wrong accidentally and they shouldn't be destroyed over this. Ask yourself if all these people calling for this man's head, if it were THEY that were in that position, how many of them would resign in that same situation? I'm better a good portion of these people would have a sudden change of heart and would NOT resign over such a minor incident when its THEIR ASS and THEIR career that's on the line. Also, her reaction is irrelevant. It doesn't matter if she liked it or not. It doesn't matter if she was bothered or annoyed or even disgusted. his behaviour is unacceptable because of his position on authority. It does matter when the supposed 'victim' herself didn't think much of it at the time right after the kiss or even many hours later. Who knows if she didn't receive advice to make it a bigger deal when the story started gaining more attention? Hypothetically what if this kiss wasn't caught on camera for all the world to see and it happened off camera? Would it still be such a big story when there's no person out there to get offended for the 'victim' when the player herself didn't even react in any negative manner at the time?

@lottafandoms Because she was pressured and didn't want to ruin other people's moods. Not everyone has the courage to stand up for themselves. Especially due to people like you who ridicule them for not speaking up in the moment. Pressured by who? Name the people who supposedly 'pressured' her to not speak up? During the entire celebrations on the field this player showed absolutely no indication that she was in any kind of distress or was angry at the kiss. The point is she probably thought nothing of it until after the fact when someone spotted the kiss and started talking about it as being inappropriate and it snowballed from there gaining international coverage and then the SJWs started coming out of the woodwork and wanted blood. Look at how this one quick kiss has been used to push the Me Too related agenda and how its led to all this talk about 'power imbalance' and 'a man taking advantage of a woman' etc.
