Even though Toronto isn't as bad as many other cities especially ones in the US, it still is sad to see it become more violent and dangerous compared to 20-30 years ago. All the progressive policies and our leaders who are unwilling to hold criminals accountable for their bad behaviors is only encouraging these people to be even more violent and criminal. Things that are happening in the GTA now are things that were either rare or didn't happen much at all many years ago.

@Foreign780 The murder rate isn't high because black people only make up about 8% of the population in the GTA. They're a small number, but they're trying their best to turn this city into a violent craphole. If there were more black people here, it would easily turn into another Chicago. And just like Chicago all our politicians, the media and justice system are too afraid of being call 'racist' to do anything about this out of control group of people. There's a mayoral race going on in Toronto right now and a random black dude who was already out on bail for committing other violent crimes just threatened to shoot these mayoral candidates last week. Guess what? He's already back on the streets on another $1000 bail. THIS IS WHY Toronto is going down the drain these days. Too many progressive policies and all the SJWs having too much influence over our leaders.

@chadwellington2524 Indian people aren't the major problem in the GTA. Blacks and native people are the biggest problems these days along with the LGBT people. Remove those 3 groups from Canada and you get rid of like 90% of all our crime and violence problems and 80% of the social discourse that we have in our country. Seriously these 3 groups are a plague on this nation these days.

wlndbeach To be real even the most supposedly 'ghetto' neighborhoods in Toronto/GTA are still pretty decent. The streets are still mostly clean and lawns are mostly well kept. The only thing that makes those areas ghetto is the black people living there that make those neighborhoods more dangerous and violent than they should be. The good news for Toronto/Southern Ontario is that the black population here is in the minority and even though this relative small population still causes a ton of crime, violence and general chaos its still not as bad as it could be if they were living here in larger numbers.
