  1.  @TheCaptaininsaino  Which reserve is this? Seems like the majority of native reserves are crapholes to live in which is why so many natives leave their communities and for native women this often leads to them getting into trouble/being taken advantage of.

  2. If memory serves, I read a story about several doctors sterilising native-Canadian women without their consent, just in the last couple of years too. It’s incredibly fucked up to hear that these things are still occurring in a wealthy, western country. That being said, this shouldn’t be happening anywhere, let alone Canada. I seriously doubt this has happened at any kind of scale and is simply just isolated cases. Also it doesn't seemed to have stopped native people from having babies since they have the highest birthrates in the entire country even beating immigrant birthrates. Violence against women is turning into an epidemic worldwide. More likely, it’s always been a profound and deeply-engrained issue, but it sadly hasn’t been receiving the attention that it deserves. This has been a native and certain groups of minority issue much more than it is for other groups of people. Its almost like when you bring in 3rd world people, they're not immediately going to be letting go of their 3rd world behaviors and this goes for crime and violence and other general bad behaviors that make Canada a worse country to live in. There’s literal genocide occurring in Sudan, and how often have we actually heard anything about that in the ‘mainstream media’? Sudan doesn't get much attention because this is just Africans doing African things. Namely almost every single predominately African nation has major problems and most are in some sort of conflict whether it be with other nations or with themselves. Most of Africa is just a massive tire fire that has been messed up for centuries and very little if anything will ever change on that continent because you have an entire race of people who aren't very bright, but are very violent and they can't ever stop fighting each other long enough to start working together to build something better for themselves. These same people behave the same way wherever they go especially in western nations where even given a great opportunity to build a better life for themselves they instead choose violence and crime and seem hellbent to wreck our nations and turn it into the same shitholes that they turned their homelands into.

  3. Actually native people ARE NOT 'reduced' to living on reservations. Those that live there CHOOSE to live there because they like being on their own and living a more traditional life and not race mixing with other people. Just go lookup how native people really don't like it when native people marry non-native people.

  4. Canadians love to criticize the US in how the country treats the black population but look at how First Nations people are treated in Canada. Sad. Why don't native people ever look at how they treat themselves? Take some responsibility for your actions and life decisions for once. I'm confident in saying that Canadian taxpayers could give native people a trillion dollars every year and it would make no difference because they would just piss it all away the same as they're doing with all the money they're given now. You know what native people could do to help themselves? Maybe spend less time protesting and complaining about everything under the sun and spend more time with your kids and raising them properly, keeping them out of trouble and getting them educated. That would help native communities much more in the long run than trying to squeeze more money out of Canadian taxpayers.

  5.  @charlenef.9055  The indigenous communities and the black communities need to band together to make changes I agree and the first change you guys need to make is to stop doing such a utterly piss poor job of raising your kids to be such violent and dangerous adults. Maybe if black and native parents can do a better job of raising their kids to be decent human beings with an education they'd be much better off by now.

  6. Canada has a dark history and our people are the ones who have to pay the price. Our lands stolen and we are persecuted for being the protector and rightful owners. How can 'your land' be stolen when its not even yours? Native people are also immigrants to North America so they don't own this land either, they just came here first before anyone else and that doesn't automatically mean you own it forever.

  8.  @klondikemom3658  Native people have to be really dumb to take this long to recover. Maybe if they would stop protesting so much and use that time to work hard and get their kids educated and keep them out of trouble they'd be doing so much better now.

  9.  @azaelia2000  If you watched the whole documentary it says the children about 150,000 were forcefully sent to "boarding schools" implemented by the govt to help them integrate into "white"culture where they (the boys) were abused and raped. You do realize that the government was trying to civilize and educate native children and in that time the best way to do it was to gather them together from all their small communities to a central location to give them the help that they needed. Heck if you look around the world places like China, India and many other countries still do this to this day where you bring kids in from remote communities to send them to schools to get them educated. Its interesting how so many Asian parents in these nations are DYING to get their kids into these schools so that they can get an education and have a chance at a better life while native people in Canada see getting an educated from a 'white school' as being so evil. I guess that's why asian people do so well when you give asians a chance they will take it and run with it while native people can be given tons of support and still fail and do so poorly.

There are some really dangerous people out there due to the governments neglect… The vast majority of dangerous people are native people and I don't know how they're 'neglected' when they're given hundreds of millions of Canadian taxpayer money every year and their corrupt leaders steal much of it and the rest is pissed away which is why native communities are mostly giant shitholes that never improve. If anything Native people should be given LESS funding and be forced to stand on their own and learn to be self-sufficient rather than relying on neverending handouts that just make them lazy.
