  1. The entire world could write off all the debt that African nations owed and nothing would change. Zero debt doesn't suddenly create good politicians and governments who can properly lead a country to higher standards of living and prosperity. Zero debt doesn't suddenly civilize a population and make them non-violent and non-criminal and have a desire to work together to help improve their country. African nations having no debt would simply be short term help that solves none of their long term problems.
