@prantosarathy386 we were doing good till 19th century then the British set their foot caused chaos , looted and left. We're reviving up amidst all blunders Look at China's history and see how much damage, chaos and looting has been done to them by foreign nations over the centuries and yet guess what? They didn't let their past define their future. They didn't allow their past to affect their plans for the future and they built themselves up to where they are now despite their violent and troubled past. And this doesn't even include all the damage and destruction the Chinese had caused to themselves during all their centuries of infighting and warring against each other and then having horrible leaders like Mao taking charge. Yet despite their past with the right leaders they were able to achieve what they have now. That's what India and many other poor nations need to do. To stop blaming the past that you cannot change and focus on the present that you CAN change.

Russo2024Zir China is the only country on the same scale and has done better at achieving order/governance. But, then again, they have earned it by brute force. Not to mention all the industrial activity has resulted in large-scale environmental damage - water/air/soil for which we will pay sooner or later. Lets be honest. When you have to govern 1.4 billion people who vary in language and culture and want to keep them in line, peaceful and focused, governing with a degree of force is the only way possible to do so especially if those people are less educated and more prone to violence. China would not be the China it is today without the government running the country the way it currently is. Instead it would look more like India. Democracy can never work in China because its simply too large and too diverse and people and regions would be fighting for their piece of the pie rather than working collectively towards the betterment of the nation as a whole. Just look at a much smaller country like Canada where its political parties are constantly fighting each other and cater to different demographics of people rather than trying to help improve things for everyone equally. Different groups of people and different organizations and different regions of Canada are constantly demanding more for themselves and their particular group of people than they care about the well being of the nation.
