Well no one is stopping EU nations from stepping up and helping out countries like Montenegro to build their infrastructure. So why haven't they done so if they're so concerned about China stepping in?
2
There wouldn't be any suffering to begin with if the Russians hadn't invaded Ukraine in a full scale assault a year ago.

If the pilot was going to a belly landing because the landing gear wasn't working, why not fly around and do circles until you're almost out of fuel so that if something goes wrong like this then the plane won't go up in flames?
1
@chavaamu You can't compare like that. Biden won Gerogia by just 15k votes when people were against Trump, a sitting President. Realistically Biden would've lost the 2020 election if covid didn't happen. With so many people having nothing to do, they decided to go and vote especially with mail-in ballots that turned the tide in his favor. On the night of the election Trump had Georgia and Pennsylvania in his column and then the mail-in ballots gave those states to Biden. In a regular election like this time around, Biden loses those states.

Take control of the resources and do what? The only reason the Congo and every other African nation can even get access to their resources was because of western technology and engineering. Even if you kicked them out, all the knowledge and skills to repair and maintain those systems that can extract the wealth will go with them and everything will eventually break down and Africans will be back to where they started to begin with.
1
Aren't Russian soldiers dying on the orders of Putin for a war that never needed to be fought to begin with?
1
Unfortunately Trudeau has driven Canada down this same path and now things are out of control in Canadian cities where crime and violence has risen to levels that we haven't seen before.
1
Step 3. Find another target/thing to get angry over. Step 4. Demand an apology and call it a 'step towards reconciliation'. Step 5. Demand compensation. Step 6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 indefinitely to keep the money bags flowing.
1
@felipeemanuel5790 Soviets shouldn't have in invaded Afghanistan.
1
@donovanattano3898 a women can hold a rifle they can fight in the frontline Anyone can hold a rifle, but not everyone can be an effective soldier. Look at all the hard battles that have been fought so far in this war and tell me that female soldiers could survive that and fight effectively? Yeah I don't think so. If you use women as frontline soldiers then that's a sign that you're losing so badly and taking so many casualties that you're forced to use anyone on the frontlines regardless if they can actually fight or not. Just place women in a position where they can contribute the most and that means putting them behind the lines in logistics, medical, intelligence etc. jobs where they can help without being a burden like they would be at the front.
1
Why do the pro-Russian hacks talk about gaining a small city after more than half a year's fighting at heavy cost as some great victory? I guess when you don't have much positive news anything will cut it I suppose.
1
How does a bird strike affect the landing gear?
1
@Hunter_J_Biden So Luka became Putin's bootlicker afterwards then. Same thing. Belarus is married to the Russians and now cannot escape from them, not without getting invaded just like Ukraine did however unlike Ukraine they don't have the population, the territory or the army to fight back with.
1
Russia also cannot win a war against Ukraine as long as the west keeps sending support to them. It seems to be slowing up to a degree right now, but I doubt the west will abandon Ukraine after investing so much in saving them and keeping them alive for so long.
1
@@seawolf2164 Better to retreat than get Mariupol 2.0. As much as it sucks to lose territory, its better to lose land than to lose men.
1
@harmonizedigital. Far left politicians are just as bad. Look what they've done to so many western European countries and in Canada and US in the past few decades especially in the past 10 years. Best is to be in the middle.
1
@divyankpatel6512 It doesn't have to be a debt trap if you make good use of the infrastructure that was built.
1
@schloops8473 Lets be real. If Assad falls, most likely the rebels will turn on each other to fight to see who will end up in power to replace him much like what happened in Libya.
1
Marcus GH Ukrainian media (Kyiv Independent) had said that from the official Russian millitary side (not DPR/LPR militiamen, they have taken the biggest casualties) that Russia lost around 16k men, and probably around 25-60k wounded. Only in Russia and Putin's dreams do they wish that Russian army losses were so low.
1
And Russian men are fighting Putin's war. Do you really think any of them want to fight in Ukraine for the glory of their nation? LOL.
1
@veljkoivetic1903 Russia has no problems with manpower. So why did they bring in thousands of North Koreans to join their war? Why did they raid their prisons to take everyone they could to bring them into the fight? Why are they offering ever higher wages to join the military to fight for them? Those aren't things that you do when you have 'no problems with manpower'. Theoretically Russia shouldn't have issues with manpower, but they do because they don't want to fully mobilize all their young men for the war. If he could do that, don't you think Putin would've done so already?
1
As long as you recruit women to do the support jobs like medical, logistics, being a mechanic etc. behind the lines then it should be fine. In more frontline roles if you have them being drone operators or even snipers that's fine too. If you have women fighting in the trenches on the front that's when you know things are going horribly for you.
1
@raybarton7725 That's why 'democracies' are a JOKE. What's the point of giving people the right to vote when most people aren't very bright and shouldn't be allowed to have a say in electing people who are making decisions that can significantly affect our cities and country?
1
@djkinetic2020 My point is that if social media existed in WWII, many if not most people would look at the massive losses and territory lost that the USSR was taking in the first few months of being invaded and probably told them that they had no hope to fight back and win. So if the USSR can eventually build up and retake its own land and more, why can't Ukraine eventually build up and take back at least some of the land they lost?
1
No different than the George Floyd 'protests' where many took the opportunity to go out and get some free stuff.
1
Dems best candidate would've been Michelle Obama. Could've filled the Dem dream of having the first woman president of color running the nation and she likely would've beaten Trump because many people actually like and are motivated by her unlike Harris. However she doesn't seem ever interested in running for president and so the Dems should've just picked the best available candidate rather than just give Harris the nomination without an election.
1
How many native children actually suffered 'trauma' from residential schools and how many got an education from them? Seems like native people want Canadians to think that everyone who ever went to these schools were brutally abused and killed when there's little evidence of that. Still don't understand why many of these bodies from these graves aren't dug up and had autopsies done on them to find out the cause of death and when they died? You'd think that would be the first thing they'd do to confirm their stories?
1
@sketch9062 Colossal waste of money. Haiti created these problems for themselves, let them fix them by themselves. If they can't fix things, then too bad.
1
Or maybe stop bringing in 3rd world people who have no business being in Europe? That would be the best solution.
1
@frostflower5555 If you watch the daily videos coming out of Ukraine, there's NO WAY you'd think that the Ukrainians are taking the bulk of the casualties. No doubt that Ukrainians have suffered heavily, but Russia has suffered MASSIVELY and just like so many other wars in the past involving Russia, being large has its advantages.
1
Michelle Obama would've won easy if she wanted the job, but she never wanted to run so its going to have to be another great female candidate to make history.
1
How come everyone knew that the Russians were going to push a Donbas offensive after they pulled back from the Kiev front? Where was the secrecy and security then?
1
@glendawest5256 Money given to native people is either wasted and/or stolen by their leaders because even after decades of funding there's still very little improvement in their communities and their people.
1
@theloniousm4337 Maybe native people should stop wasting Canadian taxpayer money on 'healing wounds' and start spending that money on educating their kids and fixing up their communities? It really is astounding to see how much money is given to native people and how little they accomplish with it. Probably much of it is either wasted or stolen by native leaders and all the money that we keep throwing at them is as pointless as lighting it on fire and letting it burn. This is also why until recently they've repeatedly cried racism anytime any politician asked them to open their accounting books to see where and how the money given to them is spent.
1
Not really. They just don't care about their own people enough to not throw all their men's lives away needlessly. Its no different than in most every major conflict that Russia has fought in during its history.
1
That's why democracy SUCKS and why people need to take a test to prove they're intelligent enough to vote and make an informed decision. Its dumb that everyone's vote counts for the same when so many people aren't bright and shouldn't be voting to begin with.
1
@joecater894 its not that they won't work ... its that there isn't enough of them being born and the next gen either... all the while the elderly are growing. This is why you spend the money to help the elderly now WITHOUT increasing the population dramatically and when they eventually pass on the next generation of people retiring will be smaller which means you'll have to spend less to support them. Also look at how much technology, science, engineering etc. has advanced in just the last 20 years. There's no reason not to believe that in the next 20 years that many jobs will be automated and won't require workers anymore which means you won't need as many people to keep a nation running.
1
Every public event requires significant security in western nations thanks to the decisions made by politicians in those countries. Funny how you never see heavy security in nations like Japan and South Korea. Gee I wonder why? 🤔🤔🤔
1
@migueldoriste5129 I think you're on drugs if you think Russia is superior to NATO as a whole. Sure as individual nations many smaller countries would fall to Russia, but France and UK? Doubtful as long as they have enough ammunition and supplies to keep them going. Even Germany would put up a good fight. The US obviously would curb stomp Russia without much trouble.
1
That's right and then we get to the heart of the matter that native people REALLY care about. Namely the money because its ALWAYS about the money with these gold diggers.
1
Can someone explain the logic of proposing a ceasefire while simultaneously providing one side with military aid? If anything US and NATO should have been increasing their military aid to Ukraine to give them better ability to fight and hold ground while doing as much damage as they can to Russia so that they can negotiate a better peace deal compared to western nations giving them just enough to survive.
1
We've also lost count as to how much money these gold digging natives keep demanding from everyone to compensate for their 'trauma'.
1
@milnjfasgasg466 If the Russians aren't losing a ton of men, then why even bring in tens of thousands of North Koreans to the battlefield?
1
@johnfarray2821 the difference is that Russia is fighting NATO of 50 countries in urban areas while USA were fighting flipflop AK47 militia located in a middle of nowhere. NATO doesn't have 50 countries in it and not all members are hugely supporting Ukraine right now like the Hungarians. Also we already saw how the Russians did back in the day fighting the same goat herders and farmers and they still lost a ton more men and equipment than the Americans did. On the otherhand if the US were fighting against the Ukrainians they would've done what the Russians couldn't and actually destroy the Ukrainian armed forces in a matter of weeks if that and have conquered Kiev.
1
Some Dems wanted to have an election at the convention with several candidates running for the nomination so that people could vote and the Dem leaders shot it down and gave it to Harris.
1
@jaypaige7550 I don't get why western countries don't just go all in at this point and win the fight against Russia and get things over quicker if possible. This war will have long term consequences in Europe and I'd rather have Ukraine win a decisive victory than to have this war drag on longer and then eventually both sides negotiate for a peace that neither will be happy with and that could lead to yet another conflict down the road. Beat Russia decisively, end the war and join NATO. Ukraine is now safe from future attacks unless the Russians want to take on all of a NATO. That's the best outcome.
1
Well Ukraine isn't a Russian puppet state like Belarus is are they? That's a win already if they can maintain their independence and not be invaded again even if they lost apart of their nation and many lives.
1
@JollyOldCanuck Then why don't native people go after ONLY the people involved in those residential schools rather than ALL Canadians of whom 99.9% who have never had anything to do with it? How hypocritical is it for native people to lump everyone together and yet everytime a native person commits a crime they say 'don't generalize all natives'.
1
@Andrew Is that why asian countries are exploding in crime and violence when there are hundreds of millions of people living in poverty in that region? Oh wait. Most countries in asia don't even have a fraction of the crime and violence that many African countries do even though so many are poor there.
1
All the more reason for Ukrainians to try and gain a decisive victory on the battlefield and join NATO so that Ukraine and the world don't have to go through this again in the future.
