  2. I wish our government would be smart enough to implement something like this. Reasonable prices to cover maintenance costs and maybe even offset the cost of re-buying the 407. Better to do this than waste probably just as much money to build a new highway that will take many years to complete versus something that's already built.

  3.  @Michael-pg7rv  To get more cars off the road you would need an insanely good subway network and I doubt that would ever get built. Even if there was political will to build it, you can bet your ass it will cost tens of billions and take decades to finish. This isn't like China where they can build subway lines for relatively cheaply and do it quickly.
