@marilynandjohntsigaris3043 Why does the mayor have to kiss everyone's asses so hard? A cop got shot so the police chief checked in on him. That's how it should be. Don't know why the mayor needs to be doing it.

Still don't understand why most politicians seem to love kissing the asses of a particular people so much and if they don't its some kind of serious offense. I just don't get it.

The Jewish community has had the most police protection that any demographic of people has ever seen since last year. Do you want the entire Toronto police force guarding these people 24/7 or something?

@naftali_nakhshon6745 Have you been living under a rock the past year?? Toronto's police chief and other police representatives have been on the news numerous times saying they were providing extra security to the Jewish community to keep them safe and to prevent violence against them. I don't think there's any other demographic of people that constantly have so many politicians and police representatives come out and condemn any violence or abuse against them and has so much police protection anytime there's even a remote threat against them.

@naftali_nakhshon6745 They've been saying AND doing. Again I don't know how much more protection do you want for the Jewish community that NO OTHER demographic of people ever comes close to getting. In case you didn't notice, Toronto is averaging more than a shooting and stabbing a day in the city along with daily car thefts, random assaults and various other violent crimes. I don't know why one demographic of people should get so much attention from Toronto police when they have 3+ million other people that also need protecting as well.

@naftali_nakhshon6745 Just saying look at the outcry and condemnation from politicians from all levels of government and from the PM and from the police chief after the latest shooting of a Jewish school that led to just broken windows. And you tell me that people don't care?? NO OTHER GROUP of people gets this kind of support after any kind of incident that happens to them whether it be physical or even just verbal.

@naftali_nakhshon6745 I care about actions and results. No actions, just words, from the officials - again. So please tell me what exactly do you want police, politicians and everyone else to do that will protect Jews more than they're protected now? I genuinely would like to know what YOUR plan would be to keep them safe? As for your 'no other group, but Jews' repetitive line here, yes, no other group has ever been persistently targeted in this country. And we know the vast majority of perpetrators who are targeting Jews in recent years are the same people who are involved in these neverending protests that we're seeing this past year. Maybe if you want Jews to be more protected, you should vote for people who bring in less of these kinds of people?
