@LoneTurtle10 I wonder why the police didn't fully investigate this incident back then and then decide one way or another as to whether those involved needed to be charged for a crime or not? Why do it now instead of being done with it once and for all back then when it actually happened?

@SeanCSHConsulting So what do you say when this happens in practically ALL the major sports where you have rich athletes attracting women around them? This isn't just a hockey player issue where young white men are involved. ALL sports have some athletes that are involved in these kinds of incidents yet people like you and the media rarely want to talk about it. Just go and look at the number of NFL players who have been involved in violent and criminal behavior and you'll see that hockey has a relatively small problem with its athletes in comparison.

@davidedwards3838 Not saying its the case in this incident, but its not uncommon to have women be fine to do something sexually and then later on feel differently about it and come back and say they were violated/did something against their will. Unless you're a pornstar, I'm not sure there's many women who would want it publicly known that they enjoyed having sex with multiple men at the same time. Who knows maybe she was indeed forced to do it against her will or maybe somehow it got leaked and she didn't want her reputation to be tarnished so her story changed.

@ErikZarins How many sexual assault cases have been reported that Hockey Canada has settled or dealt with? I can only think of two mentioned in the past 20+ years.

@alexwsc44 It also happens fairly often that a woman wrongly accuses a man of sexual assault/rape and they get no punishment when they're caught lying/not telling the complete story while the man's reputation is tarnished for a long time if not forever even after being found not guilt of any wrong doing. Not saying this is the case in this story, but in general it does happen and it sucks that the woman can get away scot free.

@ErikZarins Well it would have come to light by now when they had that whole blowup about the fund to begin with. The only other incident I heard of so far was in the early 2000s with another world junior team so if there were more don't you think the media would've found out about it by now even as the entire board was fired/resigned?

There's been literally a couple of instances of reported sexual assault instances in the last 20+ years. I think hockey players are largely fine. The NFL on the otherhand is the only league that I can think of where current and former players have been murdered and/or have committed other seriously violent crimes.
