Maybe understand that legal gun owners aren't involved in 99% of the shootings in the GTA or even in the rest of Canada? That the overwhelming majority of shooting suspects are certain demographics of people and yet you're punishing everyone anyways?

To be fair its pretty damn hard at times to catch suspects when you're patrolling such a large area as Toronto/GTA. Unless you're near the crime area and can respond quickly then its going to be to tough to catch people right away.

@LipglossAndLove13 There are differences between Canada and the US, but when it comes to who's committing 80-90% of violent crimes in Canada its the exact same few demographics of people who are involved here as it is in the US. No wonder the Canadian government is too afraid of collecting and releasing national race based crime statistics for the public to see because that will completely destroy the narrative that 'diversity is our strength'.

@slatebeard Its so easy to just blame Trudeau, but Trudeau isnt some puppet master controlling all of us, we make our own decisions good or bad. The ownership is on us as the people. Take some accountability here Trudeau and his government is allowing 1+ million new foreigners into the country every year and many of them are poorly behaved, violent and criminal. So many criminals who are committing violent crimes come from the same few demographics of people to the point that the media and politicians try not to identify them if they can help it. Ask yourself if minority crime isn't a huge problem then why doesn't the Canadian government gather national race, based crime data to see which groups of people are committing which kinds of crimes and at what levels and then releasing that info to the public. We all know why our government would NEVER EVER do that because we already know what the results would be and of course it would be 'racist' to release such information that might destroy the narrative that 'diversity is our strength'.

@tonybaloney8401 less than 400 people are victims of firearm homicides a year, that's less than 0.001% of the population Why don't you mention the predominate couple of demographics of people who are involved in the overwhelming majority of gun related crimes especially in the GTA both as perpetrators and as victims? That's much more significant than simply saying the number of gun related homicides is low.

arthurchushoe This is what a free and fair press looks like. Immediate on the ground coverage on the ground of what is happening in our community. This is the basic standard of journalism. Except the 'free press' in Canada is largely biased and extremely left leaning and progressive. Why do you think that everytime certain minority groups are involved in violent crimes that they continually try their best to not identify the suspects unless they absolutely have to? They certainly aren't trying to prevent white people from being criticised for their violent behaviors.

@cd3949 We don't need more gun control. We need more demographic control.

The shooter was a guy from India or around that region.

@BrianBrayMedia Massive decrease in immigration/refugee/foreign student/workers/asylum seekers etc., tight border control. Have mandatory jail time for gun related crimes. Have a 3 strike rule where if you can't change after being given 3 chances to do so then you automatically get thrown in jail long term for your next serious offense. Also don't be afraid of being called 'racist' for fighting crime in certain communities and holding parents responsible for the actions of their kids. Stop coddling them just because they're supposedly 'marginalized' when they really aren't. They need to be held to the same standards of behavior as everyone else in our society instead of constantly excusing their bad behaviors.
