@pacman3556 Except you're wrong. Its been shown that the vast majority of crimes committed with firearms had their origins from the US. Namely they were smuggled into Canada rather than the weapons coming from a legal source within the country.

@pacman3556 Smuggled guns proves that strict laws and banning guns works. Once again you open your mouth and show how wrong you are. If 'strict laws' worked then guns wouldn't be getting through the border would they? And if the people caught received harsh sentences then criminals wouldn't be continuing to smuggle guns would they? There are millions of legal guns purchased and owned by legal gun owners in Canada and very few of those firearms are used in crime and violence. This shows that guns aren't the problem but the criminals are. Those people who would use guns to commit crime would 100% use other weapons to commit crime in the absence of guns. Those people who own guns and don't have the tendency to commit crime with them don't commit crime with any other weapon either. Maybe try concentrating on the thugs and criminals that exist in huge numbers within a few demographics of people than worry about the weapon nearly as much.

@pacman3556 I don't know about you, but I don't consider any city that averages at least one shooting and/or stabbing a day 'safe'. We've already had a couple of innocent bystanders get murdered and more that were injured this year. This doesn't include the huge rise in armed carjackings, robberies, assaults in public spaces especially in and around the TTC among other violent crimes. The only silver lining is that the demographic of people who are causing the overwhelming majority of these crimes only represent about 8% of GTA population. That's the real reason why Toronto/GTA is still fairly safe overall. Imagine if this demographic were 20-30%+ of Toronto's population? We would be Chicago 2.0.

@pacman3556 And you're so non-racist that you would 100% TOTALLY live in the same neighborhoods as this demographic of people that you defend so much wouldn't you? Somehow I doubt you would EVER do that because you know and I know that when push comes to shove you'd do everything to NOT live with these very people that you defend to the death for.
