What I don't understand is why aren't school buses equipped with front and rear cameras so that the driver can see where they can't normally see? Also why not have automatic braking sensors as well if it detects something directly in front or behind the vehicle?? Aren't these things features in regular vehicles already so why not implement them on buses too? This is no different than dump trucks not having alarms to alert the driver that their box is still raised and that it must be lowered before the truck can move. Things that should be common sense and installed in vehicles long ago that still aren't to this day.
