I remember back in the first couple of months of the pandemic last year, 'expert modelling' showed that up to 100,000 Ontarians would've died to covid if the government did nothing to slow the spread. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

@Yuvi22 Japan in relation to most other countries in the world have done the absolute minimum in fighting the virus and yet they're STILL doing much better than Canada. Outside of mask wearing, handwashing, plastic barriers and sometimes asking businesses to close earlier like they are now, if you lived in Japan the past 18 months, you'd almost never know that a pandemic was going on. This is despite the fact that: - Japan has over 3 times the population than Canada - Japan's senior population is only a couple million short of Canada's ENTIRE POPULATION - Many if not most Japanese living in highly densely population cities Pretty much Japan should've been a perfect mix of factors that would allow covid to spread like wild fire among their population and guess what? They're STILL sitting at 11,000 LESS covid deaths than Canada is. So please explain how Japan taking the complete opposite approach than Canada is, is fairing so much better? If shutdowns and draconian measures are so vital to 'stopping the spread', then why is Japan with their largely hands off approach not suffering massively like everyone predicted they would but never did?
