@Sara4K If Muslims in are so peace loving, then why don't they move the mosque elsewhere? How easy would it be if this happened: Americans: we would like you to move the mosque elsewhere please Muslims: while it is within our rights to build the mosque where we like, we understand how you may perceive this as a hostile action. Therefore we will relocate it so as to show that we are sensitive to Americans and that Islam is indeed non-agressive and violent. But no of course they cant do that

@Budgie546 Your right. Only a handful did kill Americans on 911, but guess what? Ever since then have you seen 'peaceful' Muslims publicly renouncing and distancing themselves from these extremists? I sure as hell haven't. This means they either secretly agree with what extremists are doing or else they don't care enough to want to change how the world perceives Muslims. Either way they shouldn't be pissed about it because they brought it upon themselves and are doing little to change perception

@polymathforever Its unfortunate that more peaceful Muslims are lumped in with the extremists, but at the same time they're doing not enough to separate themselves from those extremists. It may be their right to build it, but why abuse it? In Islamic countries you don't even get a chance for choice, but because in the US you do why must you spit in the faces of 70% of Americans and build the mosque where it hurts for the US most? That doesn't seem like a very good way to build relations

@polymathforever If Muslims keep protesting and yelling and killing all the time, then obviously it can't be 'just a minority' and there's more than a few Muslims out there who are hostile to western culture and their values. Also you're forgetting there's a significant portion of Muslims who are silent but agree with the radicals as well. And even if it were a minority of Muslims that are radical, why haven't the majority strongly come out against them and distance themselves from them?

@EternalHappiness22 Again did you forget that Muslims were killing killing Muslims in Palestine because of a power struggle just a few years ago?? Did you forget Hamas and Fatah fighting and killing each other? Look at the Jews. Say what you want about them, but at least they stand together and don't kill each other like Muslims do. I bet if the Palestinians got everything they wanted, there would still be a civil war among themselves over who should be leader guaranteed.

@polymathforever If Muslims in NA have indeed distanced themselves from extremists, then they should loudly declare it and as a sign of good faith, they should simply move the mosque elsewhere. If they really want to show that they're peaceful, then a simple gesture like that would go a long way in demonstrating it. Why all the protest against doing that then? Saying you're peaceful yet not budging an inch on anything just shows that Muslims are two faced liars.
