@ethanhall7314 Had they not been funded since the beginning it most definitely would have been ended in 1 week Well that's what happens when you're a much smaller nation with a much smaller army and population. You need outside help or you lose. Russia had all the advantages going for them with much more firepower, a better airforce and a decent level of surprise. Lucky for Ukraine that the Russians have always been poorly trained, poorly led and had horrible logistical organization otherwise it might've been largely over before the Ukrainian army could fully mobilize and make use of all the western supplies coming in. On the otherhand if the US and the rest of NATO had fully committed to helping Ukraine and had given them massive aid from the very beginning like HIMARS and other MLRS systems with long range missiles, the invasion might've been stopped in its tracks and Russia probably would've taken much less territory than it holds now.

@ethanhall7314 why is it up to other countries to fund their war? can they not take care of themselves? Many people were saying the same thing in the US when Britain was fighting the Germans on their own for a while during WWII. Wonder how things would be like today if the US had abandoned the UK then?

@ethanhall7314 our own people are struggling every day and were coughing up billions for some random middle eastern european country to fight an un winnable war Ukraine already 'won' if they're keeping the majority of their nation out of the hands of Russia. However they wouldn't be in this position to begin with if NATO and the US had went all in with their support from the very beginning instead of throwing drips and drabs at Ukraine as the Russians kept moving into their nation. Some weapons like HIMARS and other MLRS systems firing long range missiles could've practically stopped the Russian advance if they were given to the Ukrainians in large numbers before the invasion or shortly after. Instead we gave them limited numbers with a few missiles at first which is why this war is still going on. If the west really wanted to end this war fast to save lives and money they should've supported them with everything they got the day after the invasion. Now its costing more in lives and money because the west continues to not give them enough to win.
