  1. You are extremely ignorant. America has NEVER had a civil war. A civil war is an armed conflict where the opposing forces want to overthrow the existing government and install their own. That NEVER happened between the years 1861-1865. The southern states declared their INDEPENDENCE. There was NEVER an attempt to emancipate the Negro slaves before 1861. The war was fought for the independence of the Confederate States. It was NOT fought to "free the slaves"!
