Lady Lori: Thats pretty normal for human beings! We possess only a limited capacity to fret over things, so fretting over things that dont directly impact us is pretty healthy! LOL Not sure if you were low-key trying to shame people for NOT caring about something that doesnt impact them, thats why I had to comment. Now if you didnt mean to shame and it was meant as a segue, my apologies. Although my comment still stands! Some people get HIGHLY offended that we dont care about what troubles THEM in life!

READ other peoples comments! listen to other people stories! Many many people struggle for YEARS with it.! I am happy you werent a serious addict, and that it was easy to get and stay clean! But most of these people who go to treatment relapse!

@GailColeman So why wasnt this disease prevalent 100 yrs ago? Why is it not only prevalent, but epidemic, if this is a disease like the common cold.. Cold & flu's have been around for millennia, but this disease is new? How come? since you seem to have ALL the answers, because, its not rocket science! LOL You are too funny! @kcflygirl29 Religion use to address these problems! But people didnt want to live within the rules, so we got rid of religion, and now the social ills are epidemic! Lets make a law at everyone has to go to church ESPECIALLY people who are Progressives/vote democrat! If we can make and enforce a law that everyone be required to get a vaccine, we should certainly be able to enforce mandatory church attendance! Do it for the children!!!

@Jan_von_Gratschoff Im sure you forget LOTS of facts for your half baked conspiracy theories! Read some of the stories here where people were HELPED by the justice system intervening! Because they didnt have the will power, even with treatment centers, to get clean! they NEEDED the legal system to intervene! Lets not take that option away from EVERYONE! Because it does work for some people, just not for everyone. The ENTIRE legal system is a money-making racket for government, regardless which area you experience it!

definitely can agree on both accounts! Unfortunately there are too many people who think there is an easy answer, one-size-fits-all solution to EVERYONES problem! And they likely vote, so this makes our problems worse in some areas where they may have improved in one area! We NEED to look at the pros & cons to every solution.

There is NO cure for the human condition! We are ALL trying to distract or numb ourselves from something in life! Drugs are the extreme end! But social media is having its affect on peoples mental health and we are just beginning to see and understand the harm!
