  4. Depending on where you travel in the US, you might find we speak French as part of our ancestry, not to ease the burden of Francophone foreigners. Everyone know Louisianne was a French colony, but do people know that Quebec, with 10 million Francophones sits on the northern border of the US? Millions of French Canadians have moved south to Nouvelle Angleterre, and there are pockets of Francophones throughout.

MAKING FRANCH AN ATTRACTIVE LANGUAGE TO LEARN IS THE WAY; not a burden. The fact that so many Francophones become so EN COLERE when used improperly is wht turns off even otherwise enthusiastic learners of the language, both in France & Canada! (Quebec gets lots of vitriol for this as they should)

  24.  @nuts4ppgxrrb  I am also of French Canadian heritage from US, and my wife from Canada, and while in Ontario du Nord they ALSO complained about how the Montrealais scoffed & looked down their noses at them for their anglo-French, and they were NATIVE speakers! Yes, the Quebecois have a bad reputation of being difficult to deal with in French than complaining about Angryphones! I think their goal is to make it so NO ONE likes them! LOL
