  25. It would make more sense if you understood just how many pagan ideas were adopted by the Catholic church in an attempt to convert the pagans of a particular place. Also, many Christians only observe the holidays that Jesus observed in His day. Jesus NEVER celebrated his birthday, as far as the Bible shows us. He did celebrate the Jewish feasts of the time, including Hanukkah.
