  1.  @onemore7632  Also not always a reliable indicator! As one gets older you realize that: any time you are in an interaction with someone, you are 'playing the game'( influence). Therefore, since playing the game is virtually unavoidable when in social settings, even a 1 on 1, you learn to "play" it and try to be effective at playing it For years, i tried to avoid the game, but no matter how hard I tried, i was roped in. The more aloof I was, the more drama found me because i seemed like a soft target that wouldnt fight back! At some point, it is necessary for a sound defence, to have 'social game'. it isnt needed against good people, because they arent trying to manipulate to the degree that the bad ( narcissist et al) are Sorry to burst your bubble, but i hope this idea is helpful.

  2. They are NOT totally different things! Correlation does not necessarily mean causation; so being uncomfortable & disliking have overlapping traits. it could me they dislike you couple with other clues. Define a moment? men are notoriously bad at picking women's oh so subtle cues of unhappiness or discomfort! So often by the time it registers in a man's mind there is a problem, the woman has been experiencing the problem for a bit, and is often becoming upset! Women are good at subtle passive communication; men are not.

  7. The operative word being 'seems'! and thats everyones complaint! Have you ever heard the motown song: 'tears of a clown'? Its a gem of a song, and offers good insight. someone doesnt have to be the life of the party all the time. life is hard! For you, for me for everyone. Sometime acknowledging the pain, or that the laugh is fake makes one more honest, trustable, and more endearing! We dont like the perpetually miserable either, because life is NOT all happy nor all miserable. if it is, there is an underlying issue that should be looked at. he has had a drinking problem. its very public! although i feel sorry for him, many of us could of guessed that he was masking some issues with drink or substances.

  18. You answered the reason why in your statement! Because its his faith! Faith does not demand reasoning the way other pursuits do! Reasoning has its limitations, so its not always a good purveyor of the human experience, ie we are emotional creatures far more than we are intellectual creatures. Most decisions are made through emotions and then logcial support is found to bolster our decisions. its simply the way we are! So faith does not require reasoning to support it, although many of us try to!

  28. Its a trust issue! People havent developed the ability to sniff someones hand and learn if they are a threat the way dogs can. Or we dont listen to our 6th sense, so the skills we have developed to tell who is friend or foe is based on facial expressions and body language. when people fake emotions it sends up red flags on whether we can trust a person. Its very natural thing that we do.
