This is Colbert's crowd though. These are his target audience. He is a schmoozer. He can be very funny, has some good insight. But his most surgical strikes are directed at one side of the aisle, while he generally tiptoes on his side. there is no danger in that. looks like the brown nosing that it is, and its shelf life is very short unless you are a hyper partisan looking for group think confirmation!
