It was a victim of the anti-Nuke agenda. besides, ALL that electricity went to NEW YORK CITY, so the thought of dying for New Yorkers was ALSO unpalatable. I moved to the area 3 years after that happened and lived there awhile. President Carter went in there, and he is STILL around after ALL these years.

China & India out produce emissions wise more than the US and EU countries combined, and we are being forced to change, but when we have SUCH a large land mass with a populace so spread out, dumping billions into trains will NOT immediately solve our problem.
