There is no GroupThink anywhere near to what is expected in the Democrat Party. the republican Party is still a Big Tent party, with 2 main factions and lots of small ones that may or may not agree with the platforms or direction. the democrat party actively tries to purge those elements from within itself. this is the major difference.

When i got involved with Sierra Club and their 'population control' initiative in the mid to late 1990's, thats when my blood chilled! I voted for Ralph Nader in 2000, then I have been republican/conservative-leaning ever since. Both my parents were democrats, although my mother switched later in her life. This is not my grandfather's democrat party!

  25.  @johnscott5105  The problem with democrats these days is, while not everyone in the party agrees on everything, more often they dissent on 1 single issue, but comply with the rest of the GroupThink. So while we can point to a group that opposed the CV-19 nonsense, they go along with the rest. Or a group will oppose the Trans-am people, but go along with everything else. anyone that dissents on more than one issue seems to be ex-communicated from the Party immediately.
