Of course you do! Its more covert now! The UK STILL has one of the most powerful militaries on the planet, has nuclear weapons, even though its allies had them, so didnt NEED them, but wanted them any way. The British government has a hand in the majority of major world affairs! Any where there is a financial interest. The UK is a low key super power.

@bollywooddubmash5065 ok, but if it divides and it values different things than Hinduism, it effectively becomes seperate even if it originated with similarites, the same with religion and nations and EVEN families. This happens in all arenas of humanity. This idea that a religion will spring up and be as polar opposite as possible!

Thats what so many are trying to suggest. that had the British not colonized that india would have been both peaceful, prosperous and UNTOUCHED by any growing empire until this moment in time! It sounds ludicrous, to be honest.

So are Indians and Pakistanis incapable of solving their issues without british help? How many years have you had to work out issues without british involvement, and how many wars have the two countries fought. also, saying that the British or any country will be tied to their worst mistakes would be like saying You will forever be known by YOUR worst mistakes also! Anyone you have killed, stolen from lied about etc will talk ONLY about those things, you will never be known for the good you tried to do or for being sorry for your mistakes! Is this the highest form of forgiveness in Indian culture? because if it is , i am happy to be a westerner where we at least ATTEMPT forgiveness!

The Lefts entire raison d'etre is to sow discord by bringing up all the past sins, making it the sole reason why people are unhappy and never permitting the perpetrator to ever do good to make up for it! If the UK wrote a check for 3 trillion dollars and handed it to India, they would STILL complain, shame and blame!
