  1. The introduction of food into pubs and the non-smoking diners who didn't want smoke drifting over them when they ate/drank has ruined the pub trade. Pubs and restaurants are two different things and should have been kept separate. Some of the larger pubs who used to host weekend discos/parties and had thriving trade, were knocked down for housing, supermarkets or became Chinese buffet eateries, even though some were grade II listed. Seems no one is allowed to enjoy themselves anymore! The nation has now become food obsessed!
