like the Normans who invaded Britain were actually ethnic Scandinavian Vikings that had settled in Normandy, France.
Celts are not a race of people, they were a collection of Europeans, who shared a common culture, language and practices, there were several different Celtic languages and different Celtic tribes, all mainly North Western and central Europeans.
Ancient Briton, Cheddar man, whose descendant still lives in Cheddar today, was traced by mitochondrial DNA, taken from his molar.
So Britons are the ancient peoples of the British Isles.
Even after the Celts, Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Gaels and Vikings invaded, we mixed and stayed that way for nearly 2000 years, before the onset of recent mass immigration.
So Britons today have 10% - 40% Anglo-Saxon admixture, but remain 90% - 60% Brittonic.
