It is absolutely heart breaking to concrete over our green and pleasant land, our forefathers fought so hard for, just to house the third world.

@neilmcbeath954 All were Europeans and closely related to us from the same continent of Europe. Britain is a Northwestern European country, with shared histories, religions and traditions, with those fellow Europeans. They settled here and we stayed that way for 2000 years, before the onset of mass immigration of the last 40 years. All continents indigenous peoples are mixed with each other, Africa, Asia etc but they are all indigenous of those continents. A European born in Asia, does not make him an indigenous Asian, he is still 100% an indigenous European.

@neilmcbeath954 In fact the Celts invaded first, before the Romans, 750 BC - 43 AD. The Celts were not a race of people but a culture of mixed Europeans, from central Europe, with a shared culture and languages. There is very little Roman DNA in Britain. The others are what we now call German, French and Scandinavian, who were closely related to us anyway.

@neilmcbeath954 Rudyard Kipling, Cliff Richards and Joanna Lumley were also born in India, but were 100% British. The British Raj only lasted 89 years, even though many British were born in India, in 1947 India kicked them out when it ended because they were non-indigenous. Even if Masters grandparents were born in India as he was, does not make him an indigenous Indian Asian, unless mixed race.

Their ancestors have lived and thrived in that place since time immemorial—long before modern cities, states, existed. Being born in a country doesn’t make you Indigenous to that place. Indigenous identity is tied to ancestral connections and cultural heritage, not just birthplace. @neilmcbeath954 Not just the Monks, the Britons also! I did not say they were benign to begin with! However they did settle here whether we liked it or not! In the ice age many indigenous Britons migrated to neighbouring countries in Europe, when the ice sheet began to melt, some returned, against the wishes of the Britons who stayed.

@neilmcbeath954 Well in history that is because they were invaded and ruled by Arab Muslims for 800 years, obviously some are mixed. Until the Reconquista got them out and ended both the Muslim and Jew slave traders. Returning Spain to a Christian nation once again.
